The Digest
Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie)is on another mission. This time she is hoping to find the lost palace of Alexander the Great. It is rumored to be sunken in the Mediterranean. Within this palace is the Cradle of Life. The Cradle of Life is said to be the key to the destruction of mankind. The Cradle once activated will open Pandora's Box and release pestilence among the populace, basically wiping out mankind.
It is for this reason she must get it back from Jonathan Reiss (Ciaran Hinds). Reiss is your basic Mad Scientist and he is selling the "weapon" to the highest bidder for no other reason than it amuses him.
The Dish
As I sat down to watch this movie, I thought to myself, "It can't be worse than the first one." To my amazement I was proven wrong inside of 4 minutes. The saddest part is they actually are trying to make a decent movie. I can see that from my seat. They just fail miserably. Sometimes it's the delivery of the dialogue. Sometimes it's the dialogue itself. Other times it's the dumb special effects. Nothing in this movie gels at any given time and there is no one person to blame. Everyone involved should share the fault.
The Directive
The kids and fans of the video game will probably enjoy it, but I would wait for the DVD if I were you.

Sucked the life right out of me.
