The Digest

Tristan (Charlie Cox) is madly in love with Victoria (Sienna Miller) and wants to take her as his wife. Take a number, Tristan. Victoria has another suitor, but she will send him packing if he does, but one little thing for her – he must find and bring to her a shooting star that has fallen to Earth.

Of course he agrees to it and thus starts his journey into the land of Stromhold to find the fallen star, Yvaine (Claire Danes) and Tristan is not alone in his quest. The witch Lamia (Michelle Pfeiffer) wants Yvaine’s heart in order to give herself nevr ending youth and life. Meanwhile, Septimus (Mark Strong), needs a necklace Yvaine wears so he can gain the throne. With the help of Captain Shakespeare (Robert De Niro), Tristan just might get his hearts desire.

The Dish

This was really cute. It was kinda like The.Princess Bride but more toward the fantasy and sci-fi spectrum. I’m actually shocked that it didn’t do better during its theatrical run. The movie is engaging, moving, funny and well crafted. Seeing DeNiro playing against type was refreshing and I so love Michelle Pfeiffer when she is being naughty. This is solid movie all the way around, in my opinion

The Directive

This one is a little weighty for the younger children, so calling it a family movie is a little bit of a stretch.

3BC Ratings

green light

The ultimate in spy thrillers. This franchise sets the bar very high.
